Le Mans: Albuquerque returns with United Autosports

United Autosports has confirmed Filipe Albuquerque to the 24 hours of Le Mans June 17 and 18 on the Ligier JS P217. The former Audi driver will reunite with his teammates Will Owen and Hugo de Sadeleer with whom he won the 4 Hours of Silverstone this month.

Filipe Albuquerque has already competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times. The Portuguese defended the colors of Audi in 2014 and 2015 before driving the Ligier JS P2 of RGR Sport by Morand last year.

“We have had a superb start to the season ELMS at Silverstone and I really wanted to keep my three drivers for Le Mans. We wanted to field the best possible crew and I think we achieved that”, added Richard Dean, director of United Autosports.
