Le Mans – Alexander Rossi replaces Zugel at Greaves

Christian Zugel will not be able to make the trip to Sarthe on June 22 and 23, the German being blocked by professional and family obligations. Greaves Motorsport has therefore chosen to complete its crew with Alexander Red, Caterham reserve driver F1 Team, and which also defends the interests of the Malaysian team in the GP2 Series. If the 21-year-old Californian already has solid experience in the world of car, including a stint in Formula BMW, Formula Renault 3.5 Series or GP3, this will be his first endurance event. And what a test since he will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the #11 Zytek Z41SN-Nissan also driven by Briton Tom Kimber-Smith and American Eric Lux.

“We are sorry to lose Christian in our crew for Le Mans, comments Team Manager Jacob Greaves. He has been an integral part of the team over the past two seasons and brings many elements to our cause that have been very valuable to us. We are fortunate to have signed a driver of Alexander's caliber and we are confident that we can combine his skills to aim for victory in the LMP2 category for the 90th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. »
