Although a few drops of rain appeared on the track this morning, the weather remained generally dry, which allowed the teams to run freely even if the track remained oily. Loïc duval took advantage of the last moments of the morning to set the best provisional time (3'27"732) with the No. 18 Audi R3 ultra. Tom Kristensen had to lose by three tenths with a #18 R2 e-tron which encountered some electrical problems at the start of the session. Sébastien Buemi proves that the Toyota TS030 est dans le rythme puisque le Suisse termine à cinq dixièmes du leader avec la n°8. La seconde R18 e-tron, la TS030 n°7 et la R18 ultra n°4 viennent compléter le top six avec une seconde de retard pour les deux dernières.

Rebellion Racing's #12 Lola B60/12-Toyota followed nine seconds behind just ahead of Pescarolo's Dome S102.5 where Seiji Ara completed the required ten laps before having to pit at the end of the session. Victim of going off the track, Guillaume Moreau, the driver of the Oak Pescarolo n°15, was transferred to hospital for examinations.

The #35 Oak Racing Morgan leads the LMP2 class (3'41"615) with very good times set by Dominik Heinemeier-Hansson.
