Le Mans – H+14: Jarvis leads the charge for Jackie Chan DC Racing

At the head of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2017, the Porsche 919 Hybrid n°1 did not encounter any major problems during the past hour in Sarthe. Andre Lotterer in fact maintains a lead of ten laps over the first LM P2, whose identity has however changed.

After the Vaillante Rebellion, it is now the turn of the Oreca 07 n°38 Jackie Chan DC Racing by Oliver Jarvis to lead the LM P2 category and temporarily climb onto the second step of the podium. Thanks to a faultless and very offensive stint from Jarvis, the No. 38 is currently more than a minute ahead of the No. 13 Vaillante Rebellion of Nelson Piquet Jr, relay of David Heinemeier-Hansson. Julien Canal, 3rd in LM P2, is 2'49" behind Piquet Jr ahead of theAlpine A470 n°35 by Pierre Ragues.

Nicki Thiim escapes

In GTE Pro, Nicki Thiim (Aston Martin n°95) took advantage of the last hour to widen the gap on the sister car n°97 of Darren Turner, since the Dane has a 25″ lead. If Alessandro Pier Guidi (Ferrari n°51) was the most consistent in 3rd position in the category, it was the Porsche n°91 of Richard Lietz which took advantage of the Italian's stop to move into 3rd position in GTE Pro.

The German clan, however, lost the No. 92 of Estre – Werner – Christensen, after the latter's exit during the previous hour. Sam Bird (Ferrari no. 71) and Pier Guidi complete the top 5 ahead of the first Ford GT no. 67 of Andy Priaulx.

In GTE Am, if JMW Motorsport continues alone at the head of the category, the No. 488 Sprit of Race Ferrari 55, one lap behind, was rid of the No. 90 TF Sport Aston Martin, which was immobilized for a while at the second chicane at Hunaudières, Salih Yoluc falling back to sixth position.
