Le Mans – H+2: the Toyotas in a fight

The Toyota de Mike conway et Sébastien Buemi remain in the lead at the end of the second hour at Le Mans. The Briton has a lead of around 4s over the Swiss, but the no.050 TS9 Hybrid of Nicolas lapierre pointe à une minute de la première place, derrière les Porsche 919 Hybrid de Neel Jani et Timo Bernhard. La n°1 pointe à 16 secondes de la n°7, tandis que la n°2 évolue à une demi-minute.

G-Drive in agony in LMP2

The two Oreca 07s from G-Drive Racing are in difficulty. The problems encountered by Ryo Hirakawa in the No. 22 preceded a collision between Roman Rusinov in the No. 26 and the No. 88 Proton Compétition Porsche of Khaled Al Qubaisi at the Porsche corners. The latter retired just like the CLM01/P1 of ByKolles Racing of Kraihamer-Bonanomi-Webb.

The Oreca 07s of Vaillante Rebellion are at the head of the category with the n°31 of Nicolas Cheers ahead of Mathias Beche’s sister car by around 20 seconds. Thomas Laurent completes the top three in the #38 of Jackie Chan DC Racing which is ahead of the #24 CEFC Manor TRS Racing of Jean-Éric Vergne and the #37 of Alex Brundle.

The fight continues in GTE Pro

Aston Martin retains the lead in GTE Pro with the #95 now led by Marco Sorensen who replaces Nicki Thiim, but it is now followed by the #66 Ford GT of Olivier Pla who is on a different strategy and the #92 Porsche of Michael Christensen. The #97 Vantage slipped to 4th, but Daniel Serra replaced Darren Turner.

The Ferrari AF Corse of James Calado and Davide Rigon left the top five at the end of the second salvo of refueling and found themselves separated by the No. 67 Ford GT of Harry Tincknell while running behind the No. 63 Corvette of Jan Magnussen.

The #62 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari now driven by William Sweedler retains the lead in GTE Am, but its lead is shrinking against the #98 Aston Martin driven by Paul Dalla Lana.
