Le Mans – H+23: Porsche n°2 takes the lead again

La Porsche #2 regained the lead at Le Mans 1h07 from the checkered flag with Timo Bernhard at the wheel. The 919 Hybrid easily overtook the #07 Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca 38 driven by Ho Pin Tung who could not match the performance of the LMP1-H.

Andre negrao completes the provisional podium of the general classification on theAlpine n°35 by half a minute ahead of the Vaillante Rebellion n°13 of Nelson Piquet Jr who received a ten-second penalty for contact with the Dallara P217 of ARC Bratislava at the Dunlop chicane.

The second Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca driven by Tristan Gommendy completes the top five in the general classification ahead of the United Autosports Ligier JS P217 of Filipe Albuquerque. Graff Racing took 7th place overall following the stop of the No. 24 Manor of Jean-Éric Vergne with a mechanical problem in the pits.

Jan's No. 63 Corvette Magnussen remains at the head of the GTE Pro by ahead of theAston Martin n°97 by Jonathan Adam. The #67 Ford of Harry Tincknell completes the top three in the category ahead of the #91 Porsche of Frédéric Makowiecki. There Ferrari of JMW Motorsport is still leading the GTE Am with Dries Vanthoor back behind the wheel.
