Le Mans – H+3: The #7 Toyota escapes

Kamui Kobayashi took over from Mike conway and increased the advance of the Toyota n°7 in the third hour of the race at Le Mans. The author of the pole has almost half a minute ahead of the No. 050 TS8 Hybrid now led by Anthony Davidson.

The Porsche remain behind, but the No. 919 1 Hybrid of Nick Tandy catches up with the second Toyota, only 7 seconds behind. The No. 2 of Earl Bamber follows 22 seconds behind the first German LMP1.

Thomas Laurent makes a mistake

While running in 3rd position in LMP2 behind the Vaillante Rebellion, Thomas Laurent went off the track in Indianapolis with the No. 38 Jackie Chan DC Racing car and hit the tire wall. The Frenchman was able to return to the pits with damage to the front left. The No. 37 sister car of Alex Brundle took the opportunity to climb into the top three by having a half-minute lead over the CEFC Manor TRS Racing Oreca 07s led by Jean-Éric Vergne and Simon Trummer.

SMP Racing held up well against the Oreca 07s, moving towards the top five with the Dallara entrusted to Victor Shaytar ahead of the United Autosports Ligier JS P217 of Will Owen.

Aston Martin regains control in GTE Pro

The Aston Martins have taken back control of the GTE Pro. Marco Sorensen retains the lead in the #95 which is 8 seconds ahead of Daniel Serra's sister car #97. The second Vantage is chased by the Ford GTs of Olivier Pla and Harry Tincknell who are ahead of the #92 Porsche of Michael Christensen.

Paul Dalla Lana leads the GTE Am in the #98 Vantage ahead of the Ferraris of Dries Vanthoor (JMW) and William Sweedler (Team Corsa).
