Le Mans – H3: Toyota in the top three

Tom Kristensen (Audi n°2) lost several minutes in the pits. Nicolas Lapierre (Toyota n°7) fights with the R18 n°3 placed between the two TS030s. The No. 1 Audi is still masterfully leading the Le Mans race.

Le Mans – H3: Toyota in the top three

Audi is called to order with a mechanical problem which affected the No. 2 Audi of Tom Kristensen which occupied second place behind the No. 18 R1 of Benoît Tréluyer. The Dane stopped in the pits for several minutes so that the team could remove a piece of rubber stuck in the rear suspension. The second R18 hybrid is now in fifth place and is almost a lap behind the leading car. The TS030 n°7 of Nicolas lapierre now occupies second place after the discontinuation of Loïc duval (Audi n°3) who is replaced by Romain Dumas. The second Toyota driven again by Nicolas Lapierre follows the first R18 ultra by around ten seconds. Pescarolo continues its path of the cross by now repairing the steering of the Pesca 03-Judd n°16 of Hall-Collard.

The two Rebellion Racing Lola B12/60s follow the latest Audi n°4 of Marco Bonanomi. Neel Jani replaced Nick Heidfeld in the No. 12, still ahead of the No. 13 of Jeroen Bleekemolen. Karun Chandhok completes the top three of the private LMP1 teams at the wheel of the JRM HPD ARX-03a. Olivier Pla is still at the wheel of the No. 24 Oak Racing Morgan-Judd at the top of the LMP2 standings. With one stop less, the Frenchman has more than two minutes ahead of the other Oak Racing Morgan driven by Bas Leinders. Ryan Dalziel rounds out the top three in the class with the No. 03 Starworks Motorsports HPD ARX-44b.

The war rages in GTE Pro between Ferrari, Chevrolet and Aston Martin whose leader still remains indistinct after three hours of racing. Gianmaria Bruni is in the lead in the #458 AF Corse Ferrari 51 but the Italian has one stop less than the #74 Corvette of Tom Milner and the #97 Aston Martin of Darren Turner. Patrick Pilet was replaced by Spencer Pumpelly on the Porsche n°79 of the Flying Lizard which still occupies the lead of the GTE Am. Raymond Narac is in second position on the 911 RSR ofIMSA Matmut performance.
