Le Mans – H8: The No. 7 Toyota remains in control

Kazuki Nakajima maintains a gap of almost two minutes over the No. 2 Audi of Marcel Fässler. G-Drive leads in LMP2 while Aston Martin asserts itself in GTE.

Le Mans – H8: The No. 7 Toyota remains in control

La Toyota n°7 retains the lead 24 Hours of Le Mans after a third of the race. Kazuki Nakajima maintains a two-minute lead over Marcel Fässler at the controls of the No. 2 Audi. Marc Gené completes the provisional podium on the R18 n°1 in front of the Porsche #20 by Mark Webber. Rebellion remains in the top five with the No. 12 of Mathias Beche but Romain Dumas should soon take over the R-One in the No. 919 14 Hybrid.

In LMP2, the #35 G-Drive Racing Ligier maintains a one-minute lead with a good stint by Jann Mardenborough. It is the Ligier du Thiriet by TDS Racing which is now chasing him with Tristan Gommendy. The No. 03 Oreca 34R from Race Performance remains in third place with Franck Mailleux who has around fifteen seconds ahead of theAlpine now driven by Nelson Panciatici.

Aston Martin took the lead in the GTE. Darren Turner leads the GTE Pro category at the wheel of the #97 Vantage, ahead of Oliver Gavin's #74 Corvette, which was demoted to second. AF Corse remains in the dance with the Ferrari No. 51 driven by Gianmaria Bruni. The 911 RSRs of Frédéric Makowiecki and Patrick Pilet are two minutes from the lead of the race. Paul Dalla Lana remains in control of GTE Am in the #98 Vantage which is ahead of Nicki Thiim's #96 sister car.
