Le Mans – H+9: the No. 7 Toyota resists

The No. 7 Toyota of Mike Conway retains the lead at Le Mans after the 9th hour of the race. Neel Jani's No. 1 Porsche remains in the hunt.

Le Mans – H+9: the No. 7 Toyota resists

Statu quo en tête de la course au bout de la 9e heure au Mans. La Toyota n ° 7 of Mike conway est toujours en première place en disposant de près d’une minute d’avance sur la Porsche n°1 de Neel Jani. La TS050 Hybrid n°9 de Nicolas lapierre still completes the provisional podium, but the Japanese LMP1 lost time in the pits following a change to the side number display plate.

 

The No. 8 Toyota Sébastien Buemi has been in the garage for more than an hour following the replacement of the front electric motor and the battery. The No. 2 Porsche of Earl Bamber regained the advantage and is now in 32nd position.

The No. 07 Oreca 31 Vaillante Rebellion of Bruno Senna regained the lead of LMP2 against the No. 31 sister car now entrusted to Mathias Beche who lost time following a change of the rear hood due to a faulty light . One minute now separates the first two LMP2s.

The No. 38 Jackie Chan DC Racing, now entrusted to Thomas Laurent, is still in 3rd position, half a minute behind the second Rebellion. The No. 25 CEFC Manor TRS Racing of Simon Trummer and theAlpine #35 of Nelson Panciatici complete the top five in the category, preceding the #40 Graff Racing of Richard Bradley.

THEAston Martin #97 is still at the head of the GTE Pro with around 20 seconds ahead of the #67 Ford GT of Harry Tincknell and the #92 Porsche of Michael Christensen who are a handful of seconds ahead of the #95 Vantage of Marco Sorensen. There Ferrari of JMW Motorsport remains at the head of GTE Am now driven by Dries Vanthoor.
