Le Mans – Morand Racing takes the place of Starworks

They will finally go to 24 Hours of Le Mans. Morand Racing adds a choice event to its program.Endurance, already well loaded with theELMS, and will participate in the 90th edition of the Le Mans classic. The Swiss team will enter a Morgan Judd LM P2. Participation made possible after the withdrawal of Starworks, the reigning LM P2 world champion and winner last year at Le Mans. Selected by the Automobile Club de l?Ouest (ACO) as a substitute, the Swiss team is present to compensate for the withdrawal of the American team.

“For the whole team, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a dream because more than a race, it is a real myth that we will have the chance to experience as a team next June”, explains Benoït Morand, the co-founder of the team. “The work carried out this winter, whether with Onroak, Judd or Dunlop, led us to be selected as an alternate and then to join the list of competitors who will be at the start of this race which will celebrate its 90th anniversary this year. We would like to thank the ACO for the trust they have placed in us and wish the Starworks team many successes in the United States in their championship. »

In 1983, I took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans motorcycle with Philippe Bouzanne and Jean Michel Mattioli, it was exactly 30 years ago and this year I will return to Sarthe with a structure so important to me. »
