Le Mans – Nico Hülkenberg: “I savored every moment”

Engaged on the third Porsche 919 Hybrid, the German Nico Hulkenberg and his teammates Nick Tandy and Earl Bamber, created the surprise of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015, by defying all predictions by winning after 395 high-flying laps. Both reliable and efficient, the trio of the No. 1 LM P19 from Zuffenhausen took control of the race around the eighth hour to charge towards a victory which will mark the career of the Force India driver.

“Today is probably the greatest achievement of my career, and I will only realize it in the next few days, I believe,
“Hülk” confesses. It was great, I really enjoyed every moment. I had a great time because these cars are fun to drive, especially on big circuits like this. For a 24 Hour race, the pace was very high. »

The old pilot Williams does not, however, want to recover all the laurels from Porsche's 17th Le Mans victory. “The glory does not belong exclusively to me: I had two fantastic teammates and a whole team behind. This is not an individual result. » Hülkenberg, who will be present at a press conference this Thursday in Austria as part of the Grand Prix of F1 played this Sunday, will once again be the center of attention.
