Le Mans: Pescarolo Sport package

It is a monument of French motorsport which is in the process of collapsing. Pescarolo Sport, team founded by Henri Pescarolo, record holder for participations in 24 Hours of Le Mans, will not be present at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This is the first time since 1966 that the name of Pescarolo will not be associated with the double clock tower in Sarthe. If there will indeed be Pescarolo-Judds in LMP2, they are only a distant legacy of Henri Pescarolo's efforts to set up one of the greatest teams on the endurance planet.

If we do not know what will happen to the Pescarolo Sport entity, the non-participation of the team?s two cars in the 24 Hours of Le Mans is certain. Negotiations between the team's owner, Jean Py, and Genii Capital having failed, the structure is in limbo. Will we see Pescarolo Sport again at Le Mans? Difficult to say but Henri Pescarolo, who left the team he founded several weeks ago, intends to find “his” race again.

« If I'm not responsible for a Pescarolo, I won't come (this year), even if you can never say never. The only place I want to be is on the pit wall. But I would like to point out that these past two years have not brought me down. On the contrary, I will be able to learn from it and I am wonderfully surprised by the signs of support given to me. »
