Le Mans presents the 55 entrants

Almost four months from 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010, the Automobile Club de l?Ouest revealed this Thursday the list of 55 entrants who will participate in the legendary Le Mans race. Twenty-one cars in LM P1, nine in LM P2, eight in GT1 and seventeen GT2, this is the field which will rotate on the 24 Hours circuit on June 12 and 13.

In LM P1, like last year, we find four Peugeot 908 HDi FAP: three operated by Peugeot (Bourdais, Wurz, Minassian as starting drivers) and another entrusted to the Oreca team (Panis & Stone), while Pescarolo Sport inherited it last year. The 908 will thus be the most represented car, while Audi will once again present three Audi R15s (Kristensen, Lotterer, Rockefeller). The LM P1 field will also include, among others, two Lola Rebellion Coupés from Rebellion Racing, an Oreca 01 AIM for the eponymous team, two Audi R10s from the Kolles team, two Pescarolo Judds for Sora Racing and Pescarolo Sport, as well as three Lola Aston Martin, two of which will be operated by Aston Martin Racing and one by the French Signature team.

Fewer competitors this year in LM P2, which offers the two Pescarolo Judds from Oak Racing, two HPD (Honda Performance Development) ARX01s for Strakka Racing and Highcroft Racing, two Ginetta Zyteks for Quifel-ASM Team and Team Bruichladdich?

The GT1 category will be more extensive than last year, thanks in particular to the arrival of the Ford GTs from Matech Competition and Marc VDS Racing. The Corvette C6.Rs will be the most represented, with three cars, including two for Luc Alphand Aventures. Luc Alphand, seriously injured last summer, is registered as the starting driver of the first car.

En GT2, le traditionnel duel entre les Porsche 997 GT3 RSR et les Ferrari 430 GT will once again be there, but other cars are joining the fight. We find in particular the BMW E92 M3 from BMW Motrosport, the Corvette C6 ZR1 from Corvette Racing, the Jaguar XKRS from Jaguar RSR, the Aston Martin Vantage from JMW Motorsport and the Spyker C8 Laviolette from Spyker Squadron.
