Le Mans – Ram Racing withdraws its Ferrari 458 Italia

Second GTE substitute in the list of entries for the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 22-23), Ram Racing has decided to withdraw its Ferrari 458 Italia n°52, which claimed a place in the GTE Pro category. “We set up this team with the philosophy “if we do it, we do it well”, explains Dan Shufflebottom, team principal. Even though we were relatively close to securing a place at the start of the next 24 Hours of Le Mans and being very close to being at the top of the reserve list, only 10 weeks now separate us from the test day. In our opinion, this does not give us enough time to properly prepare for our first 24 Hours of Le Mans. When the time comes, we will submit an invitation request for 2014. We have not abandoned our Le Mans ambitions, we have only postponed them. »

As a reminder, the team will participate in the European Le Mans Series this year with two Ferrari 458 GTEs. The No. 52 will be entrusted to Johnny Mowlem-Matt Griffin and the No. 53 will see Gunnar Jeannette-Frankie Montecalvo take turns.
