Le Mans / WEC - Neel Jani will join Porsche in 2014

The former Formula 1 reservist and current driver for Rebellion Racing will participate in the Stuttgart firm's arrival in LM P1 next year. He joins Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas.

Le Mans / WEC – Neel Jani will join Porsche in 2014

AUTOhebdo revealed it exclusively in its 1914 issue last week, it is now official. Neel Jani becomes official driver Porsche and will defend the colors of the German firm from next year! The Swiss, aged 29 and currently involved with Rebellion Racing, will therefore participate in the brand's return to the highest level in the World Championship.Endurance (WEC) and 24 Hours of Le Mans.

After Romain Dumas and Timo Bernhard, Neel Jani is the third driver announced. After being able to don his new colors this weekend at Le Mans, the former reservist of Formula 1 will officially take up his new role on July 1 and will be on the program for the next scheduled tests aboard the new German prototype. A mission that he will assume in addition to his commitment in ALMS and WEC with Rebellion Racing.

After the unveiling of the first images of the prototype last week and today?s announcement, Porsche is definitely occupying the media space while the world of motorsport still has its eyes on the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
