OAK Racing all-out in ILMC

To carry out its ambitious program which is to occupy the places of choice behind the giants Audi and Peugeot , the newly based structure in Le Mans can rely on the support of prestigious partners, first and foremost the tire manufacturer Dunlop and Car Oil, exclusive dealer for Gulf lubricants in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Famous colors that the team will be very proud to wear. For the moment, three entry requests for two LM P1s and one LM P2 have been submitted to the ACO for the ILMC. In addition, thanks to the results recorded last year, the team benefited from four invitations to Le Mans in LM P2. She will therefore use one of her invitations and run a second P2 during the Le Mans event. If the ACO finally accedes to the ILMC team's requests, there should therefore be four OAK-Pescarolo prototypes at the start of the 79th edition of the 24 Hours.

To carry out its project, the Sarthe team will field two LM P1 prototypes, OAK-Pescarolos under 2011 regulations, powered by the latest Judd DB 8 liter V3,4. The top car will thus be entrusted to Guillaume Moreau and Pierre Ragues, already announced, who are joined by Mathieu Lahaye, present within the workforce for the fourth consecutive year. “ It's a bit like my second family, because I've been part of the adventure from the start, underlines the 26-year-old Rennais. The move to LM P1 and ILMC is a logical continuation after three very enriching P2 seasons. I hoped so and being able to do it with OAK, in the company of two excellent pilots who are also friends, is a great pleasure ". The second car will be entrusted to Jacques Nicolet and Richard Hein, joined at Sebring, at Le Mans (if there is an invitation) and at Petit Le Mans by Jean-François Yvon.

As for LM P2, OAK Racing is making this category its showcase. “ We want to demonstrate that our LMP2 is one of the best products on the market. It will be, in a way, our “show car”, the standard bearer of our manufacturing activity. », specifies François Sicard, General Director of the team. Equipped with the 8-liter Judd HK V3,6, the prototype will be occupied by Patrice Lafargue, Frédéric Da Rocha and the young Andrea Barlesi, 2010 winner of Formula Le Mans. For the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the identity of the second crew will be revealed at a later date.
