The Pescarolo Team placed in compulsory liquidation

After more than six months spent under safeguard procedure, the Pescarolo Team has just been placed under judicial liquidation. Just like in 2010, when Henri Pescarolo had to sell Pescarolo Sport at auction, the boss of the eponymous team must once again face this very difficult situation?

Interviewed by Maine Libre leaving the court, Henri Pescarolo did not declare himself surprised by this court decision. “The day our new partner stable let me down at the start of the season, I knew we would have problems afterwards Le Mans. It makes sense after these six months spent under the safeguard procedure. Since July I have looked at what could be done but, in the current economic context, it is almost mission impossible. » If the team based at the Technoparc of the 24 Hours of Le Mans was able to participate in the Sarthe event last year, she then had to withdraw from the World Endurance Championship (WEC), lack of budget.

Keeping his premises, Henri Pescarolo wants to give himself a little time to think before making a decision for the future. “Nothing is closed, everything remains open. I am especially disappointed for my team. Most of the guys have been working with me for over ten years and the creation of Pescarolo Sport. This is my great sadness. Now, at 70 years old and after fifty years of having my hands dirty, I am going to take a step back to analyze the situation and come to my senses. » If it is now certain that the French team will not be able to field any cars during the next 24 Hours of Le Mans, it could, however, continue to play the role of preparer, “one or two cars for another team”.
