Ledogar: The 24 Hours of Le Mans, “a race that is close to my heart”

How the link with Car Guy was it created?

It’s a race that is close to my heart, after making my debut last year in LM P2 (at Jackie Chan DC Racing. Editor’s note). I had a great experience, but GT is more my domain today, even if I am trying to diversify since I competed in the Asian LMS in LM P2. AF Corse (which is behind Car Guy Racing. Editor's note) entered two GTs and an LM P2 (its Ligier JS P2/Spirit of Race. Editor's note), this is how the link was made.

The title won by Car Guy in Asian LMS is promising!

We must already go to the end. At Le Mans, every second lost can never be made up for. You need to adopt a good pace from the start. I think there is something to play for, but it remains a difficult race, especially since it will be their first participation.

Will understanding the Ferrari 488 GTE be complicated?

It’s a mid-engined car with a more efficient chassis than a GT3 (even if the 488 GTE and GT3 share the same base. Editor’s note). The gap is not monumental. We're going to have testing days to prepare for Le Mans, certainly at Monza, plus the Test Day. Every pilot has dreamed of wearing a suit bearing the Prancing Horse. It's a great feeling. Furthermore, I have never driven a Ferrari. The 488 has the reputation of being very balanced, very healthy. I don't think it's complicated. There is no ABS, but I am used to it with the Carrera Cup.

The Test Day is held on the same weekend as the Paul-Ricard 1000 km in Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. Is this a problem?

Like last year, the Blancpain race will end on Saturday evening. Many pilots will be in this situation and solutions have been found.
