Ginetta's troubles in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) continue. The two G60-LT-P1s from the Manor team, entered in LM P1 Non-hybrid, will be conspicuous by their absence in the paddock of the 6 Hours of Silverstone (Great Britain, August 17-19), third round of the 2018-19 Super Season.

The reason for the package consists of a change of engine partner. The blue-chrome prototypes started the year with a supercharged 6-liter V3,4 block designed by Mecachrome. However, the French company was replaced by the AER company, with its bi-turbo P60B, used by BR Engineering of SMP Racing in the same category. This new supplier appears for « give more power, which was lacking at Le Mans (Sarthe) ».
Manor withdraws because the homologation request (necessary for an engine change) came too late before the British round of the WEC. The Ginettas only played the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year, the launch of the year in Spa having been marred by financial concerns with the Chinese title sponsor TRS.
