GT Academy drivers at the highest level

Drivers from the GT Academy will be offered drives in the best disciplines. Jann Mardenborough will be offered a drive in one of the two Zytek Z11SN-Nissans lined up at the 24 Hours of Le Mans by Greaves Motorsport. The 21-year-old Briton will compete alongside Lucas Ordonez, another former GT Academy winner and now an official Nissan driver. The Spaniard will also compete in the FIA GT Series in the No. 35 Nissan GT-R of Team RJN with Alex Buncombe. The second car will be reserved for Mark Shulzhitskiy and Wolfgang Reip, both cars competing in the Pro-Am category. These two crews will also be entered in Blancpain Endurance Series where the German Peter Pyzera and the American Steve Doherty will come as reinforcements.

“The GT Academy continues to the borders of the territories”, commented Nissan sporting director Darren Cox. “We have such confidence in the abilities of our drivers discovered by the GT Academy that we have entered crews solely from this training in FIA GT and Blancpain. It will be fantastic to see the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 racing on the most beautiful circuits in the world in the European Championships alongside the other major manufacturers. »
