List of entries for the 2013 WEC Championship

The list of teams registered for the Championship WEC 2013 has just been revealed by the ACO. Audi will be present with two R18 e-tron quattros with the Tréluyer-Fässler-Lotterer trio on the No. 18 R1 while Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen will be supported by Loïc duval. But the surprise comes from Toyota which will ultimately field two TS030s for the entire season while the Japanese manufacturer seemed likely to enter only one car this year. The Japanese brand will be represented with Alex Wurz, Nicolas lapierre et Kazuki Nakajima on the No. 7 while Stéphane Sarrazin, Anthony Davidson and Sébastien Buemi are confirmed on n°8. The private teams will be reduced to two teams with Rebellion Racing which will enter a Lola B12/60 Coupé-Toyota (with Nicolas Cheers) and Strakka Racing which will keep its HPD ARX-03a (Nick Leventis).

The LMP2 category is much more extensive since it has double the number of cars. Pecom Racing will be there with its Oreca 03-Nissan (with Luis Perez-Companc). Starworks Motorsport responds with its HPX ARX-03b (with Ryan Dalziel). Greaves Motorsport will enter its Zytek Z11SN-Nissan (with Christian Zugel). Oak Racing enters two Morgan-Nissans (with Jacques Nicolet and Olivier Pla). Lotus responds with two T128 Coupés (with Kevin Weeda and Thomas Holzer). Status HVM enters a Lola B12/80 (with Jonathan Kennard). Gulf Racing Middle East will be represented by two Lola B12/80-Nissans (with Fabien Giroix and Frédéric Fatien). Signatech will compete in the Championship with an Oreca 03-Nissan (with Romain Rusinov), like ADR Delta (with John Martin). The category will thus include 12 cars.

Three manufacturers are present in GTE Pro. Aston Martin Racing will enter two Vantages (with Darren Turner and Stefan Mücke). Before his return to LMP1 in 2014, Porsche will compete in the GT under the banner of Team Manthey which enters two cars in the discipline with Marc Lieb and Richard Lietz on the No. 92 (and Romain Dumas at Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans) while Jorg Bergmeister and Patrick Pilet will ride in the No. 91 (with Timo Bernhard in the first three events of the season). AF Corse will also be there with two Ferrari 458 Italia (with Gianmaria Bruni and Olivier Beretta).

The GTE Am will be more equipped with eight cars. Aston Martin also enters two Vantages (with Allan Simonsen and Roal Goethe), Felbermayr Proton enters a Porsche 911 RSR (with Christian Ried). 8 Star Motorsport will defend its colors with a Ferrari 458 Italia (with Enzo Potolicchio). IMSA Performance remains involved with a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR (with Raymond Narac). AF Corse will be present with an F458 Italia (with Jack Gerber). Krohn Racing remains in the category with a Ferrari (with Tracy Krohn). Larbre Compétition will complete the field with a Corvette C6 ZR1 (with Patrick Bornhauser, Julien Canal and Fernando Rees / Pedro Lamy at Le Mans).

In total, the WEC Championship will welcome 32 cars which will automatically be entered in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2013.
