Lucas di Grassi joins the squad of Audi LMP1 drivers for 2013. After a first WEC test at home in Interlagos, last September, the 28-year-old Brazilian is now part of the team full-time. Indeed, for its first appearance in the World ChampionshipEndurance, the former pilot of Formula 1, then teamed with Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish, finished in third place. A convincing performance which ultimately convinced Audi to hire him. The news was announced among the flood of announcements made, Wednesday December 19, by Audi Motorsport during its end-of-year meeting in Ingolstadt. He will replace the Italian Marco Bonanomi, released by the brand with the four rings.
