Lucas Légeret will start with Dempsey-Proton Racing in GTE Am

Only at 19 years old, Lucas Légeret will pilot a Porsche 911 RSR in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The Frenchman was indeed spotted by the Dempsey-Proton Racing team during the 6 Hours of Spa (Belgium, August 13-15).

After LM P3 in European Le Mans Series (ELMS) Et the Mercedes-AMG GT3 from Akka-ASP in GT World Challenge Europe, the Vaudois will discover a new car and a new discipline, in the GTE Am class. His teammates will be Ricardo Sanchez and Vuttikorn Inthraphuvasak.

“Driving for Dempsey-Proton Racing is a source of great pride and I sincerely thank Christian Reid and his entire team for the opportunity they are giving me to make my WEC debut, explains the Swiss.

It is a team that has enjoyed numerous successes and their association with American actor Patrick Dempsey has given motorsport significant media visibility. I have always been sensitive to these initiatives which give another vision of motorsport to the general public and I will be very happy to discover their world. 

I would also like to thank Jérôme Policand and the entire Akka-ASP team with whom I remain, at the same time, fully focused on the GT World Challenge Europe. From a sporting point of view, the challenge promises to be exciting and I can't wait to discover the Porsche 911 RSR.

I will discover the WEC and an even higher level of competition. You will have to manage the traffic of the LM P1s which are traveling at incredible speeds at Spa and be immediately on the pace to aim for a good result. I can't wait to see the green flag! »
