Hello Frederic, how do you feel before your first race with Alpine, here in Qatar?
It's a new adventure, so when it's like that, there's a lot of excitement. It's true that at the moment, the Prologue and Qatar have a slightly different format because we ride, we have tests before and then we continue with the race, so it's interesting. We didn't test here, we arrived with information from our tests in Monza, but which are not quite the same. And we were able to validate all that well during the Prologue, so now I'm really looking forward to the race weekend.
How do you feel about defending the colours ofAlpine after many years at Porsche ?
Already a lot of pride. Alpine, it's a brand with a name, it's a brand that has a history. Last year, they gained momentum. As a French person, representing a French brand is still something, there's a special side. And then, we're still here to win races. So all of that put together means that we're going to try to do the best job possible.
What are your goals for this weekend?
At some point, I think that being able to get the most out of all the potential that we have, we underestimate that a little bit in motorsport. At certain times, a result is already being satisfied with the work that we have done. I think that everyone works very hard in the team to succeed in giving us the best car. We will try to have a good race, avoid the pitfalls, whether it is the contacts, whether it is the penalties and at the end, we will see where we are. I think that we should not be bad.
