  • Porsche, still and always ! More than a month after the success obtained in Qatar for the opening of the season in WEC, Manthey PureRxcing did it again this Saturday by taking pole position in the LMGT3 category, for the 6H of Imola. Alexander Malykhin completed a fantastic lap in 1'42"365, almost seven tenths better than his closest pursuer, Ian James aboard theAston Martin No. 27 of the Heart of Racing team.
  • The Top 3 of this LMGT3 Hyperpole is completed by a BMW, the No. 46 of Ahmad Al-Harthy, teammate of the local hero Valentino Rossi. The Omani beat the sister car, the #31 BMW of Darren Leung, by just six thousandths!
  • At home, the Iron Dames recorded a 5th place on the LMGT3 starting grid thanks to Sarah Bovy in the #85 Lamborghini. She will be accompanied on the third row by the No. 88 Ford Mustang from the Proton Competition team.
  • Surprise from the first phase of qualifying, with the elimination of the two Corvettes from the TF Sport team. Despite being at ease during Free Practice, the two American mounts failed at the gates of the Hyperpole, with the no. 81 of Tom van Rompuy in 11th position and the no. 82 of Hiroshi Koizumi in 13th place.
  • Difficult qualifying for the only French team on the field, Akkodis ASP. The two Lexus RC F GT3s were eliminated in the first session, and will start at the back of the grid. Arnold Robin qualified in 16th place with the No. 78 Lexus, just ahead of the No. 87 of Takeshi Kimura. Only the #60 Lamborghini Iron Lynx finished behind.
