Mark Webber remained in hospital

The Australian Mark Webber, pilot of the Porsche 919 Hybrid n°20, was the victim of a violent exit from the track last night in Interlagos. The 38-year-old driver lost control of his car (the reasons for which have not yet been established) and violently hit the protective wall, taking with him the Ferrari 458 Italia n°90 of Matteo Cressoni just before the start of the pit straight. The 919 Hybrid was destroyed, and Webber was taken care of by the medical teams, before giving a reassuring wave of his arm just before being initially transferred to the Medical Center of the Brazilian track.

The old pilot F1 was “conscious and alert” as the FIA ​​quickly announced, but as a precaution, Mark Webber spent the night in a hospital in São Paolo to undergo additional examinations. A message posted on Facebook page of the Australian wanted to reassure, indicating that “his state of health was satisfactory”. Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley were able to see their teammate.
