McNish wants to return to success

Allan McNish, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1998 with Porsche and with Audi in 2008, will team up again with Dindo Capello and Tom Kristensen in 2010. The Scot, third last year with his two teammates, wants to taste victory again in the Sarthe, just like the brand with the rings . “ Winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans remains Audi?s main objective this year, attests McNish. Audi has been successful every time since its debut at Le Mans in 1999, winning eight times, but last year's third place was a performance below our usual level. »

After a victory and a third place in the last two seasons, with a disappointing 2009 edition, Audi hopes to compete more solidly with Peugeot . Allan McNish is also determined to get ahead of the Lion firm's 908s. “ Audi and I have the same desire, to return to France this year and win. But it will be a difficult challenge against Peugeot and Aston Martin. »

With an experienced crew at the wheel of the No. 15 Audi R7, Audi has chosen to renew three drivers in whom it has great confidence, and who won together in 2008. For McNish, this continuity is a guarantee of success. “ We need to be at our best but, with Tom (Kristensen) and Dindo (Capello) in my car, plus our teammates from the other twoAt Audi, I know we have the best crews, the best pit crew and a car in its latest specification to achieve this. »
