Mike Rockenfeller, 36 days of madness

Winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010, Mike Rockenfeller started a marathon last weekend which will end on July 3. Last Sunday, as preparation for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, the German competed in a round of the VLN, which he finished in third place in an Audi R8 LMS that he shared with Marc Basseng and Marcel Fässler. First step, what next?

“This weekend, I will be in Austria for the round of DTM which competes on the A1 Ring, says Rocky, who won the last event in Zandvoort. After that, I'll be heading to France for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and just a week later, I'll be back in Germany, at the Lausitzring, for the fourth round of the DTM season. The following week, I will take part in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. And finally, the DTM race taking place on the Norisring will be the end point of this marathon. The next five weekends promise to be exhausting. »

Mike Rockenfeller will jump from the seat of an Audi R8 LMS to that of an Audi A4 DTM before taking the wheel of an Audi R18 TDI.

“Luckily, I'm going to compete in all these races in great cars, He continues. It's awesome. Comparing these cars is absolutely impossible, but they have one thing in common: Driving them is a real pleasure.”

Indeed, every weekend and whatever the discipline, it is victory that Mike Rockenfeller will aim for.
