Moreau bounces back with Oak Racing

10 days before the start of the 24 Hours week, Guillaume Moreau had the unpleasant surprise of being disembarked by his employer, the Luc Alphand Aventures team, last Friday. Not one to give up, Limousin then set out to find a new team to take part in the Sarthe event. Taken by surprise, he still managed to find an alternative solution to overcome this last minute disappointment. “ When I learned last Friday that the team manager of Luc Alphand Aventures was unilaterally ending our collaboration, the sky fell on my head », tries to explain Moreau.

If his former team justified his ouster by citing financial imperatives, Guillaume Moreau appreciated it very little. “ It is particularly disappointing after what we have experienced together since the start of the 2008 season. We were GT1 Champions in Le Mans Series and we were in 3rd place in the FIA GT after two races. »

From then on, he set out in search of a new interesting challenge, which he seems to have found within the Oak Racing Team Mazda France. Moreover, once the agreement was finalized on Monday, the young driver was satisfied with this collaboration. “ It's no secret: I wanted to get back behind the wheel of a ?proto? one day. It's happening sooner than expected and I'm ultimately happy about it “, he said.

The Limousin driver has already started working with his new team and will make his first laps on Thursday at Magny-Cours, before heading to Le Mans for the traditional 24 Hours week which begins on Monday.
