The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile and the World Endurance Championship have confirmed the new regulations concerning compensation ballast based on the weight of the drivers, but what do the main stakeholders think?

Debated since last year in the paddock of WEC and beyond, since even Max Verstappen et Charles Leclerc commented on the topic, the weight of the pilots in Endurance has undergone a regulatory adjustment for this new season. From now on, ballast will be added to the cars if the average weight of a crew is less than 82 kg, including in qualifying if the driver selected by the team is too light.
