Oak Racing joins forces with Morgan Motor Company

The manufacturer Morgan is returning to endurance after signing a partnership with Oak Racing to take over the name of its LMP2s. If the prototypes will still be created by Onroak Automotive based in Le Mans, they will change their name this year from Oak Pescarolo LMP2 to Morgan LMP2. The Le Mans team will also enter one of these cars in WEC in addition to the Oak Pescarolo already entered in the premier category.

Jacque Nicolet, president of Oak Racing, is delighted with the outcome of this partnership. “I am very honored and very proud that OAK Racing has been able to form this partnership with Charles Morgan and the Morgan Motor Company”, he comments. “I find in Morgan this passion that has driven me since childhood and the “family spirit” that I hope to have succeeded in creating at OAK Racing. Who better than Morgan could represent the gentlemen drivers spirit required for LMP2 in Endurance ? The 24 2012 Hours will not only be the fiftieth anniversary of a Morgan's class victory but also the celebration of our partnership. »
