The reconversion is confirmed for Sébastien Ogier. After a few test sessions with the GR010, the hypercar of Toyota, the eight-time world rally champion will turn toEndurance in 2022. If he will participate in other rounds of the WRC after having recently competed in Monte-Carlo (2nd behind Sébastien Loeb), it is on the side of WEC that the Gapençais will be hired full time.

In search of new adventures, the one who has never hidden his desire to compete 24 Hours of Le Mans will have the opportunity this year. Sébastien Ogier will compete in the Endurance World Championship with Richard Mille Racing within the LMP2 category with the No. 07 Oreca 1.

For this new start, Sébastien Ogier will be well supported since Charles Milesi, outgoing winner of the Le Mans classic in LMP2, and Lilou Wadoux, young Endurance hopeful, will be his teammates in the No. 1.

« I am aware that the challenge is met, but I was looking for a program that motivates me more than choosing the easy way out., explains the Habs when justifying its choice. Until now, I was focused on my career in rally, but it's been a long time since I got it into my head that Endurance could be a great challenge. Each driver tends to be quite individualistic, but there comes a time, when you are lucky enough to have had a successful career, when you want to share more things. LMP2 is a superb category and the best way for me to access the highest level of Endurance and progress in this discipline. I'm clearly a novice, but I want to have fun while gauging what's possible and seeing how close I can get to the best. Everybody is enthusiastic. Charles, Lilou and I come from three distinct worlds and it will be interesting to combine our different experiences under the colors of Richard Mille, who has been with me for several years. This adventure tempted me, but I am aware of having a lot of things to discover and experience to store. I have always had a good ability to adapt in rallying, so we must hope that this is also the case on the circuits! »

And Amanda Mille to add. “ Our initial goal was to highlight the lack of opportunities for women. Starting with a 100% female team was essential to understand our intentions, make people think and challenge prejudices. We have had two great years launching the debate with three women who have now proven themselves in an LMP2 prototype in ELMS, then in WEC. However, all the female pilots explain that they want more inclusiveness by finding their place in mixed crews. Their dream comes true when men want to ride alongside them in the same team and this is now our case with a trio promising a rich season both on a human and sporting level. »
