Oliver Jarvis and René Rast gain ground at Audi

Take the place of a legend like Tom Kristensen is not an easy thing. Audi has chosen the British Oliver Jarvis, member of the ring manufacturer since 2008, with commitments in DTM, in GT, but also at Le Mans in LM P1 with four participations in the Sarthe double-clock race since 2010 (and two third places in 2012 and 2013, Editor's note). The 30-year-old driver will team up with French Loïc duval and the Brazilian Lucas di Grassi on all sleeves of World ChampionshipEndurance WEC.

To succeed Jarvis on the third Audi R18 entered by the Ingolstadt firm at the 6 Hours of Spa (May 2) and in Sarthe (June 13-14), Audi Sport once again turned to GT and a “in-house” pilot, with the reinforcement of Rene Rast. The 28-year-old German, winner of the ADAC GT Masters this season in a Prosperia C. Abt Racing Audi R8 LMS ultra, with his South African teammate Kelvin van der Linde, also took part in the Blancpain Sprint Series in 2014 with the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT. He will team up in LM P1 with the Portuguese Filipe Albuquerque and the Italian Marco Bonanomi.
