Oliver Jarvis to drive with United Autosports in 2022

United Autosports has confirmed the first driver who will accompany 15-year-old Josh Pearson in one of the Anglo-Saxon team's two Oreca 07 LM P2s in 2022. The second prototype will have Phil Hanson, Filipe Albuquerque and Will Owen at the wheel. Oliver Jarvis already knows the team having replaced Paul di Resta at Fuji in 2019. His last full season in WEC dates back to 2017 when he finished second in the LM P2 championship with victory in the category at 24 Hours of Le Mans within Jackie Chan DC Racing. Winner of Petit Le Mans this year with Mazda, the 37-year-old Englishman will also continue in IMSA with Meyer Shank Racing in 2022.

“I am delighted to join United Autosports and return for a full season in the WEC for the first time since my victory at Le Mans in 2017, said Oliver Jarvis. Having competed with the team in Fuji in 2019, I know how great they are, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be a full season with them. I am delighted to team up with Josh who will become the youngest driver to compete at Le Mans. After testing with him, I am convinced that he is more than ready for the challenge and that he is a star of the future. I think we have the ability to fight not only for victories but also for the championship, in what promises to be the most competitive season in the history of LM P2. » A third driver must be announced soon to complete this crew.
