Onroak changes name

The different branches of Onroak owned by Jacques Nicolet will now be grouped under the Ligier Automotive brand. The Everspeed Group companies are made up of Onroak Automotive and Tork Engineering, manufacturers of racing cars, the Oak Racing team, while Sodemo develops engines.

 “We started as a racing team, explains Jacques Nicolet, President of the Everspeed Group. With success. “In 2013 we decided to build racing cars. Onroak Automotive was born. At the end of 2013, Guy Ligier entrusted us with the Ligier brand to continue the adventure he started in 1969. Since then, we have created a complete range of racing cars: sports prototypes (Ligier JS 53 Evo 2, Ligier JS P4 , Ligier JS P3, Ligier JS P2, Ligier JS P217, Nissan DPi) and single-seaters (Ligier JS F3 and Ligier JS F4). And the latest, a GT, the Ligier JS2 R. Nearly 300 chassis were produced between 2014 and 2018 which allowed our customer teams to develop the brand's international track record: LM P2 World Champion in 2015, multiple champion of Europe and Asia LM P2/LM P3, first manufacturer to win the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans in the same year Ferrari in 1998, five LM P3 titles in 2018.”

The same year with Sodemo we added innovative engine technologies, on-board electronic equipment and systems to our know-how. “In 2019, Ligier Automotive will continue its development under a single banner: new Ligier LM P3, first Ligier JS Cup in France, Ligier JS P4 Ultimate Challenge, F4 and F3 R in the USA, in particular. Richard Tur will be the general manager of Ligier Automotive's activities and Max Crawford those of Ligier Automotive North America. Ligier Automotive is in the starting blocks to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand and thus pay tribute to Guy Ligier,” concluded Jacques Nicolet.
