Oreca: A difficult race at Spa

The 908 n°10 started in an advantageous 4th position on the grid, after the setbacks of Peugeot in qualifying. But the 908 No. 10 experienced a problem with the fuel pump drive shaft, forcing Loïc duval to stop in the pits for 7 laps.

Team Oreca finally finished in 10th place, which did not satisfy Hugues de Chazunac, the team president. “ This is a frustrating result. The team did
very good work, as did the pilots. Given the events we could have been in the Top 5. Reliability is key, we saw it at Sebring and we see it here too
»

The French team will now devote itself to preparing for the Sarthe event which will take place on June 11 and 12. “ We know that we will have to perform flawlessly at Le Mans, at all levels. If so, we will have a card to play. Congratulations to Peugeot Sport for the 908’s first victory. »
