Pastor Maldonado with Manor?

Since his non-renewal within Renault Sport F1 Team, following the takeover of Lotus by the French brand, the Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado had remained rather discreet, but had made several appearances in different paddocks, including a visit to the race IndyCar in Iowa.

The former F1 driver, however, had not mentioned any options concerning his future in the more or less short term. But here is just a little sentence dropped during a press conference presenting the Mexican event of the World Championship ofEndurance (September 1-3), revived the possibility of seeing Maldonado in a seat again.

Confirmed by Manor to race on the Oreca 05 LM P2 alongside Thai Tor Graves, the Mexican Alfonso Toledano Jr declared that the team “was close to announcing its third driver, with Pastor Maldonado possibly being the one. » The team of Graeme Lowdon and John Booth has not yet commented on the subject, however, not confirming the possible presence of the Venezuelan.
