Perrinn presents his future LMP1

Perrinn has unveiled its new LMP1 which will be able to compete in the private category of WEC from 2018. The British company has already completed the design and crash test simulations and is expected to present its prototype at the end of November before carrying out the first tests in December.

The first two models will be entered by a European team whose engine has not yet been revealed. The chassis will be sold at a price of 1,2 million pounds or around 1,4 million euros.

“The support and stability of the FIA and the ACO and the programs of other manufacturers have allowed us to have numerous discussions with teams who aim for more freedom than in LMP2, explained Nicolas Perrinn, the designer of the prototype. The program has evolved very quickly in recent months to the point of being able to offer two cars and having the resources to design a third within six months. »

Perrinn's LMP1, which has not yet received a name, will face the SMP BR designed by Dallara et the Ginetta.
