Pescarolo: “At the level of other species”

Little by little, activity resumes within Henri Pescarolo's team, which now bears the name Pescarolo Team. After announcing that Autovision would be at his side next season, the four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans continues its search for partners.

Henri is more motivated than ever, as he confided to bienpublic.com.

“Despite appearances, I still have a lot of energy, which is why I decided to fight to relaunch the team, explains Pesca. I?m at the same stage as in 2000, when I started. Except that I have a team waiting for me to restart the activity. Today, the priority is to find new sponsors. Thanks to Autovision?s commitment, we are almost guaranteed to be able to present a car at the next 24 Hours of Le Mans. But I would need another one of this same caliber to hire a second crew, but also to participate in the entire season in the Le Mans Series. »

Concerning the drivers, no names have yet been revealed. But the boss of the team, whose premises are located in the heart of the Technoparc of the 24 Hours circuit, admits that these should be drivers who have already defended his colors in the past. Jean-Christophe Boullion will not be one of them, he who is continuing the adventure with Rebellion Racing.

With three podiums at Le Mans and two Le Mans Series crowns, Henri Pescarolo will be keen to return to the podiums. But according to him, the situation should be the same as in 2008 and 2009, namely that Audi and Peugeot will always be in front, and that green cars will fight to be “first of the others”.

“We will not yet be able to compete with Audi and Peugeot diesels, he says, on the website of the newspaper entitled Le Bien Public. But we will be at the level of other essences, like Aston Martin or OAK Racing. »
