Pescarolo “will continue to live”

Henri Pescarolo was there, at the Technoparc in Le Mans, to attend the auction of the assets of a team that made the heyday of the team?Endurance for almost ten years. Over the course of an hour, the master auctioneer sold the lots put up for auction: cups, tools, mobile homes, semi-trailers and 1 LMP2009s for a total of 253 euros. But, at the end of the auction, one last possibility existed: for a buyer to acquire all of the lots, thereby recovering the plans for the 000 car.

What was possible happened and it was not a stranger who showed up. Jacques Nicolet, a long-time friend of Henri Pescarolo and former owner of the stable before its resale to Jean Py, joined forces with Joël Rivière to buy back all the lots for 400 euros. Honor is therefore safe, the stable's assets remain in the Pescarolo clan.

« It’s a huge surprise for the whole team that was gathered together, happily confided Henri Pescarolo to Maine Libre.fr, which followed the auction. Thanks to my two friends, the stable will continue to live. We collect our equipment and our cars which we will prepare for the 2011 season. » Jacques Nicolet, for his part, is happy to have fulfilled his mission of saving the team. “ We were afraid that the stable would be bought by foreigners. Fortunately, she will stay at Le Mans. We are going to hand everything over to Henri so that he can continue his activity. »
