Peugeot, student in progress?

If the best 9X8 finished 13th overall, behind six LM P2s, positive signals deserve to be highlighted. In particular the fact of having passed the checkered flag with its two prototypes without having encountered any major problem for the second race in a row.

During the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, fans will have to go down to the 13th and 17th rows to find mention of both Peugeot 9X8. Worse still, the best lioness failed behind six LM P2s and only 2″9 ahead of the modest, much more rustic Glickenhaus. But to put what happened in Belgium into perspective, it is appropriate to rewind two weeks earlier, during the 6 Hours of Portimão.

Is the car too typical of Le Mans? We hope so. But that means that Peugeot will never play in the world championship! Unless you make a new car in 2024.
