Pilbeam reveals its new LMP2: the MP100

Pilbeam presented the MP100, a new prototype which puts an end to six years of absence. The British manufacturer hopes with this new LMP2 to be represented in WEC and 24 Hours of Le Mans. Zoo Racing, a team based in South Africa which has won several events with the 98-litre Pilbeam MP2, will be the first customer team to benefit from it.

This car is based on the previous MP93 model. The aerodynamics have been optimized and the suspensions have been modified in order to improve the downforce after long research work in CFD (computer study of aero fluids). The first MP100 will be powered by a Mountune 4-cylinder turbo which combines ease of use and fuel economy.
