Porsche ran its LMDh for the first time

After revealing the first photos of its LMDh last December, the German firm Porsche launched hostilities on the Weissach track in Germany, with French pilot Frédéric Makowiecki on board. These are the very first laps of the German prototype, with a view to the championships IMSA et WEC next year, where Porsche and Team Penske will collaborate.

“To be honest, it was a very positive start, declared the French driver after this day of testing. We were able to take a few laps and find that the car performs as expected. Now we have a good starting point to move forward. »

For his part, Thomas Laudenbach, vice-president of the brand's motorsport branch, admits to being “Very proud of this important step in the development process of our new WEC and IMSA team for 2023.”

According to our information, the LMDh prototype should run again at Daytona (United States), after the 24 Hours (next January 29 and 30) for a real first intensive run.
