Porsche confirms Hartley-Lieb in LMP1 and Makowiecki in GT

Frédéric Makowiecki will no longer pilot the Aston Martin Vantage next year. The 2010 champion of Porsche Carrera Cup France will join Porsche's GT program which will retain two 911 RSRs in WEC with Team Manthey and will enter two others with Core Autosport under the Porsche North America banner in USCC. Another model will also be entered in the American discipline by the Falken Tire team with the other official Wolf Henzler associated with Bryan Sellers. The 33-year-old Frenchman will be accompanied by Michael Christensen, Richard Lietz, Patrick Pilet, Jörg Bergmeister, Patrick Long, Marco Holzer, Nyck Tandy and Wolf Henzler.

The Stuttgart manufacturer will therefore have one less driver after having formalized Romain Dumas, Timo Bernhard on the LMP1 which is therefore called 919 Hybrid (as we revealed to you in preview in issue 1939 of AUTOhebdo on sale this week). This duo will obviously be accompanied by Mark Webber and Neel Jani. Unsurprisingly, Porsche confirmed the arrival of Marc Lieb and Brendon Hartley.
