Porsche finally in pole position in GTE Pro at Spa

Authors of pole position yesterday in qualifying for the 6 Hours of Spa, Kévin Estre and Michael Christensen made their mark by beating the two by more than four tenths. Aston Martin Vantage in the GTE Pro category.

Except that a few minutes after the session, the Frenchman's lap was canceled for exceeding the track limits at turn n°1. Therefore pushing the car to the back of the grid and leaving the two Vantages at the front of the category.

“My lap was perfect, and I was surprised that they said I veered off the track in a turn, indicated Estre. Personally, I'm confident I drove within track limits at all times on my fast lap. »

A conviction finally confirmed since the commissioners reviewed their decision, and finally gave pole position back to the world champion tandem who will therefore lead the GTE Pro peloton from 13:30 p.m. French time.
