Crowned in China on the Shanghai track, the Porsche brand does not intend to let its guard down in the face of competition, as technical director Alex Hitzinger points out.

Porsche does not intend to give in to laziness

The 2015 World Championship seasonEndurance will remain marked with the seal Porsche. After Audi's domination at Silverstone at the opening of the proceedings last April, then at Spa, the rival sister raised the tone in Sarthe by securing a 17th success at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, before going almost flawless over the next four events.

A real control over the WEC, the fruit of the hard work of the members of the Porsche LM P1 project, and in particular of its technical division united around Alex Hitzinger.

« We are definitely very aggressive in terms of performance, as well as in terms of reliability. Are we no longer in an era where the issue is settling for a reliable car and banking on other people's problems? » indicates the German to AUTOhebdo.

Hitzinger admits that Porsche will keep the basis of its 2015 car to work towards the future 2016 version. « You must not become lazy, otherwise we will fall in the hierarchy. » concludes the technical director.
