Building on his last victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Porsche is not worried ahead of the 6 Hours of Nürburgring (Germany) where the manufacturer remains on two consecutive victories in 2015 and 2016.
« We are in the best situation ever, says Fritz Enzinger, vice-president of the brand's LMP1 program. The 24 Hours of Le Mans was a race full of ups and downs.
« In the Eifel mountains we are aiming for a clean 6 Hour race and we obviously want to take victory for a third time in a row."
« I am very curious to discover this new aero pack, comments reigning world champion Neel Jani. The tests were carried out with car no. 2 so on car no. 1, we have no experience with this new configuration."
Porsche is currently leading the championship WEC with 111 points, 28,5 more than Toyota.
