Porsche loses its GTE Pro pole at Spa, Aston Martin on the front row

With a time established in 2’14”223, Kevin Estre and Michael Christensen had hit hard during the qualifications of the 6 Hours of Spa in GTE Pro. The reigning world champion duo Porsche Motorsport had thus relegated the competition led by the two Aston Martin Vantage official by more than four tenths.

But that was without counting on the Ardennes patrol, which highlighted exceeding the track limits for Estre at turn 1, leading to the disqualification of the #911 92 RSR from the results of the session.

A sanction which propels the two Aston Martin Vantages of Alex Lynn – Maxime Martin and Marco Sorensen – Nicki Thiim to the front row of the category for the race which will start tomorrow at 13:30 p.m.
