Porsche extends with Manthey Racing and Core Autosport

Manthey Racing and Core Autosport will continue to defend the colors of Porsche. The Stuttgart manufacturer, which won an 16th pole this Thursday, June 18 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, took advantage of its presence in Sarthe to confirm the extension of its partnership with the two structures.

“We have chosen a particular event with the 24 Hours of Le Mans to extend our contracts with our GT partners, comments Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Porsche sporting director. We will continue to benefit from two of the best structures within the GT. We have enjoyed a wonderful partnership over the past few years and we look forward to further successes in the future. »

Manthey Racing will thus line up the new 911 RSRs in the GTE Pro category of the WEC in 2017 after winning the Drivers' and Manufacturers' titles in 2015 before the German brand took a year back. “We are proud that Porsche will continue to support our team in the coming years and trust us to represent Porsche Motorsport in the WEC.”, adds Nicolas Raeder, the management director of Manthey Racing.

“Everyone at Core is excited to continue our collaboration with Porsche. Our partnership began with a victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona (Florida) and continued with numerous championships. We are ready to offer them the same”, concludes Jon Bennett, owner of Core Autosport.
